Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Palette

The 'moondust' palette is now available in Mecca Maxima in store and online (http://mecca.com.au/), containg shades inspired by the urban decay 'moondust' single shadows. All eight shadows have a duo-chrome appearance with intense glitter, and are extremely buttery and easy to apply. Given my undying love for their 'solstice' single moondust eyeshadow, I knew I had to have this palette, for more duo-chrome glittery goodness to play with. The palette was released today and I bought it this morning and wore a few shades throughout the day.

'Lithium' (medium-dark bronze with warm undertones and lighter gold sparkle) wore well throughout the day, emphasizes my blue eyes, and applied evenly on top of other eyeshadows.

'Specter' (light pink with warm undertones and a sparkling frosted finish) looked gorgeous on my lower lash line (inner corners of my eyes), but I had a few issues with fallout.

So far I can't wait to play with the other crazier shades, but I would recommend doing your eye makeup first (before foundation / concealer) when using this palette, as fall out can be an issue. Even when swatching the shadows there was a lot of powdery fall out I had to wipe away from my arms and from the palette itself.

Will definitely be doing some looks with these! However if you don't like doing glittery looks / 'out there' makeup that regularly, I wouldn't go spending $80 on a palette with roughly 2 wearable shades - there are some beautiful shades that come in individual moondust shadows that are a little more chill.

Affordability 7/10 - (it's $80 AUD... so $10 per shadow pan isn't that bad)
