Recently I embraced my inner childhood nerd and invested in a couple of items from the Mac Star Trek Collection (celebrating 50 years of Star Trek); the lipstick in 'Where No Man Has Gone Before' (lustre finish) and the Trip the Light Fantastic Powder in 'Luna Luster'.

'Luna Luster' was what I was most excited about (being a highlighter junkie), however many people were left unenthused by the lack of pigmentation and blendability of this product. Personally, I can recognize that it is not intended to be a 'highlighter' (that's right, go to Sephora and buy yourself some Becca highlighters, bitches.) but instead a sheer wash of colour to be applied to the cheeks. Throughout the whole collection the lustre finish is emphasised, and this product is no different. I used it as a blush-and-highlighter in one, and I found that it just left a healthy and extremely sheer rosy glow to the cheeks.
