Love him or hate him, Jeffree released his summer shades a few months ago - 'Watermelon Soda', 'Queen Bee', 'Virginity', 'Nude Beach' and '714' (a re-promote) and yep, I bought them all. In terms of formula they are relatively consistent and still have the stay power and longevity of his permanent range liquid lipsticks. The only difference is the yellow packing and the watermelon Jolly Rancher inspired scent (meh). Out of all of the shades I tend to reach for 'Watermelon Soda', and I find that it's a real stand out shade; it's no ordinary pink. Personally, I don't even like pink and I reach for this bright baby.
Wearability is one of the only issues I have with the collection - even 'Nude Beach' is far too orange and light, I have pale skin (I am basically a human blank canvas) and it looks horrid on me. When I'm feeling confident I can wear any of the other 'out there' shades (even the bright yellow 'Queen Bee'), but I feel like if there was at least a true nude in the collection, his sales would have gone up. Expecting the collection to sell out immediately, I jumped on his website as soon as they launched - only to find that after hours, days, weeks, they never sold out. Perhaps due to the Kat Von D vs. Jeffree drama, or perhaps because this collection is less wearable and unappealing to the majority of his demographic; those craving new nude shades like 'Celebrity Skin', 'I'm Nude' and 'Posh Spice'. However bright and loud is all that he is about, and I can respect and relate to that so I'll always be buying and reviewing whatever he releases.

(Left to Right: Virginity, Watermelon Soda, 714, Nude Beach, Queen Bee.)

'Queen Bee' used as eyeliner (it's ok, it's eyesafe.)
