A few weeks ago two new shades were added to the infamous Velour Liquid Lipstick collection by Jeffree Star. I already own 3 of Jeffree's lipsticks (Redrum, I'm Nude, and Druglord), and I am quite the fan. However I did notice a new scent added to the newer releases, and in all honesty it reminds me of my grandmother's favourite chewing gum - Wriggly's 'Juicy Fruit' or PK gum, which some people may enjoy... I am not one of those people. According to Jeffree this is a new 'Root Beer' scent, a scent (or 'flavour') also featured in his lip scrubs. Despite this, the formula remains consistent between the two shades; initially applying quite wet and liquidy, before drying down to an extremely matte finish, which I love. Mannequin is described as 'I'm Nude's younger, darker sister. She's cool toned and looks amazing with a dark liner or by itself', which I found to be pretty spot on. Rose Matter is described as a 'soft neutral coral' - I found that on my skintone it seemed to bring out the yellowish undertones of the lipstick, which I like in rose shades.

Throughout the day I did notice that Mannequin became slightly darker over time, only coming off from the centre of my lips when I ate. One thing I love about Jeffree's lipsticks, is that through the duration of the day, you can reapply them once or twice without your lips looking nasty (aka: chalky, clumpy, cracked/peeling). I reapplied Mannequin twice throughout the day, and it only became cakey towards the end of my night.

Rose matter has amazing stay power, and left my lips with a slight stain when it eventually rubbed off (over 5-6 hours).

All in all, Jeffree's lipsticks are probably one of the most unique in the market at the moment - in terms of colour range and the formula itself. His lipsticks never disappoint, and I can say the same for 'Rose Matter' and 'Mannequin'.

Below is a mixture of both Rose Matter and Mannequin together - I loved the end result!
