Colourpop lippie stix have been around for a while and I never purchased any, but with the recent release of the 'Matte X' formula (that being, eXtremely matte), I knew I had to get my hands on a few.

From left to right: She bad (matte x), tootsi (matte), pillow talk (matte x), cami (matte x), rayezor (matte), and poppin (matte x).

From my first initial swatches I could already tell I was going to love these - all shades were opaque and full in colour with only one swipe. I also noticed that even though the 'matte x' shades are supposedly extremely matte/drying, I could tell that they still had some level of creaminess to them, and after trying them out, I discovered that they had a very matte appearance, but were in fact quite comfortable and almost felt creamy.

No cracks, no lines, no cakey-ness, these babies are the dream for those of us who love the appearance of matte lipsticks, but don't want chalky lips.

L to R: She Bad, Poppin', Cami, Pillow Talk.
